# How Pricing Works

Better Data uses a **usage-based** model centered on **loop completions**, so pricing aligns with business outcomes rather than seat count. ## Loop Completion Pricing

A completion is counted when a loop instance reaches a terminal state (for example, procurement closed, returns closed, order closed/cancelled).

## Committed Volume Model

Overage usage is billed above commitment using your contract overage rate.

## Usage Tracking

Current period loop utilization is visible in SCM billing settings, including committed volume, completion count, and utilization progress.
