# Bookings

> How to create and manage wholesale bookings for committed demand

# Bookings

Bookings represent committed B2B demand used in inventory planning and allocation.

## Creating a Booking

1. Navigate to **Plan** → **Bookings**
2. Click **Create Booking**
3. Configure:
   * **Customer**: Customer or customer organization
   * **Product**: Product to book
   * **Requested Quantity**: Quantity requested
   * **Delivery Window**: Start and end dates
   * **Location**: Delivery location
   * **Channel**: Sales channel
   * **Priority**: Booking priority

## Booking Status

Bookings progress through statuses:

* **DRAFT**: Initial creation, not yet confirmed
* **CONFIRMED**: Confirmed by customer
* **ALLOCATED**: Inventory allocated to booking
* **FULFILLED**: Booking fulfilled (shipped)
* **CANCELLED**: Booking cancelled

## Allocating Inventory

1. Open a confirmed booking
2. Click **Allocate Inventory**
3. System will:
   * Check inventory availability
   * Allocate inventory to booking
   * Reserve inventory
   * Update booking status

## Confirming Bookings

1. Review booking details
2. Verify:
   * Customer information
   * Product and quantity
   * Delivery window
   * Pricing
3. Click **Confirm Booking**
4. Booking becomes confirmed and ready for allocation

## Booking Summary

View booking summary:

* **Total Bookings**: Count of all bookings
* **By Status**: Breakdown by status
* **By Customer**: Bookings per customer
* **By Product**: Bookings per product
* **By Delivery Window**: Bookings by delivery date

## Permissions & Roles

<Tip>
  Creating bookings requires planning or sales permissions. Allocating inventory requires inventory management permissions. Contact your organization administrator for details.
